Why Seek an ADHD Assessment as an Adult?

Many adults reach out after years of feeling “different,” misunderstood, or overwhelmed. Without a diagnosis, difficulties with focus, organisation, and emotions are often mislabelled as laziness, anxiety, or poor coping skills.

A private ADHD diagnosis for adults can:

  • Validate your experiences, reducing self-blame
  • Open access to workplace adjustments and support
  • Improve relationships by others understanding your needs
  • Guide treatment options such as therapy or medication
  • Support mental health by reducing anxiety and burnout

Signs of ADHD in Adults

ADHD doesn’t always look the same in adulthood as it does in children.

Common signs of adult ADHD include:

  • Struggles with organisation, planning, or time management
  • Frequently misplacing items or missing appointments
  • Restlessness or “mental overdrive”
  • Starting tasks with enthusiasm, but finding it hard to finish
  • Acting impulsively or struggling to regulate emotions
  • Feeling overwhelmed in work or home life

What to Expect From a Private Adult ADHD Assessment

The process includes:
