Wondering if ADHD could explain how you’ve been feeling?
Get clear answers - and a plan for what to do next.
If you’ve been wondering whether ADHD might explain long-standing difficulties with focus, organisation, or overwhelm, you’re not alone.
Many adults come to us after years of coping – often feeling “different” or struggling in ways that aren’t fully understood.
The biggest shift is realising there may be a reason things have felt harder for so long.
An ADHD assessment can help you understand what’s really going on, and what to do next.

When should you consider an ADHD assessment?
You don’t need to be certain.
Many adults come to us after years of feeling that something doesn’t quite fit – even if they’ve found ways to cope.
You might recognise some of the following:
- Difficulty staying focused or easily distracted
- Struggles with organisation, planning, or time management
- Frequently losing things or missing deadlines
- Restlessness or feeling mentally “on the go”
- Starting tasks but finding it hard to finish them
- Feeling overwhelmed by everyday demands
Sometimes these challenges are mislabelled as anxiety, stress, or poor time management.
An assessment can help you understand whether there’s an underlying reason – and what would actually help.
Not sure if it’s ADHD, autism, or both?
You don’t need to work that out on your own.
Many adults have overlapping traits, and it’s common to feel unsure which assessment is the right starting point.
During your suitability call, we can:
- talk through your experiences
- help you understand whether ADHD, autism, or both should be considered
- recommend the most appropriate next step
Where appropriate, we can offer a combined assessment approach, so you don’t need to worry about choosing the wrong pathway.
The goal is to help you get clear, without unnecessary steps or confusion.
What an ADHD diagnosis can help with
An ADHD assessment is not just about a label.
It can help you:
- Understand patterns you may have struggled with for years
- Reduce self-blame and gain clarity
- Improve work, relationships, and daily functioning
- Access workplace adjustments where appropriate
- Explore treatment options, including medication if suitable
For many people, the biggest shift is moving from confusion → understanding.
What to Expect From a Private Adult ADHD Assessment
Our assessments are structured to give a clear outcome.
They typically include:
1. Pre-assessment Forms
Questionnaires and background information, including developmental history where possible.
2. Clinical Assessment (up to 2 hours)
A detailed assessment with an ADHD specialist using structured interview and validated tools such as DIVA-5.
3. Feedback & Report
You receive a clear written report and a feedback session explaining the outcome and next steps.
What happens if ADHD is diagnosed?
If ADHD is diagnosed, we will guide you through your options.
This may include:
- practical strategies for daily life
- support with work or study adjustments
- discussion of treatment options, including medication if appropriate
For many people, a diagnosis helps them understand their experiences and opens up practical changes – from work strategies to treatment options – that make day-to-day life feel more manageable.
We also offer a dedicated ADHD titration service if you want to explore medication support.
What if I don’t receive a diagnosis?
This is a common concern.
Not every assessment results in an ADHD diagnosis. If criteria are not met, we will still:
- explain what we have found
- help you understand your patterns and challenges
- suggest practical next steps or alternative support where appropriate
