Practical Winter Health Advice: Prevent, Protect, Personalise
Our free guide brings together useful winter health tips around three simple ideas.
Prevent
Look after the basics with practical advice on nutrition, movement, sleep, alcohol, smoking and vitamin D during the colder months.
Protect
Check your vaccination eligibility, keep on top of prescriptions and existing conditions, and learn how to reduce the spread of winter infections.
Personalise
Use a simple self-check to identify your priorities and create a realistic winter health plan with a few manageable actions.
A More Personal Picture of Your Health
General winter health advice is helpful, but it can't tell you everything about your individual health.
Your age, medical history, lifestyle and personal circumstances all influence what matters most, from understanding your test results and vitamin D levels to identifying useful lifestyle changes or appropriate follow-up.
For autumn 2026, Total Health West Berkshire is offering a limited Ready for Winter enhancement with selected health screenings, providing more personalised advice and a practical plan for the months ahead.
What's Included in Your Ready for Winter Enhancement?
You'll receive everything normally included in your chosen health screening, plus:
A Short Lifestyle Review
Time with our clinical team to discuss sleep, nutrition, movement, wellbeing and other health priorities.
A Personalised GP Review
Interpretation of your screening results, vitamin D and vaccination advice, and any appropriate medical follow-up.
Your Personal Winter Health Plan
Two or three realistic priorities and practical recommendations included in your usual screening report.
Additional Support
The option of a complimentary 20-minute conversation with our Health & Nutrition Coach if recommended by your GP.
A Follow-Up After 4–6 Weeks
A friendly call from our reception team to see how you're getting on and whether further support would be helpful.
